Some days feel like a contest for who can tally up the most suffering; who can endure the most pain and loss. And the onslaught, at times, is merciless.
Please keep in mind that, while certainly true, pain and suffering aren’t the entire truth. In fact, they’re only a very small piece of our eternal context. Paul writes, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18)
What we’re enduring now? It’s absolutely hard. And it’s absolutely no comparison to the glory to come. There’s a glory in us, already present although not already apparent. Through Christ, that glory will be revealed TO us and IN us.
