A bad choice starts much earlier than the moment of decision. Sin starts small before growing bigger.
In the moment, when temptation is before me, my choice relies on what is already inside my heart. Small inputs in the days leading to this moment heavily influence my capability to act with integrity.
Small moments of anger may eventually lead to rage or violent behaviors. Small moments of lustfulness or seeking pornography may eventually lead to adultery or divorce. It may drive unhealthy changes in our relationships with our spouse, friends, and co-workers.
Similarly, small moments of prayerfulness lead to holiness. Small moments in the word of God lead to righteousness.
Check your inputs.
My friends, it is the small moments that are of the greatest consequence. Win in the small moments, and you’ll be armed and ready to conquer the big ones.
